This bill reduces the minimum age to purchase or transfer certain firearms from 21 to 18. CPAC believes that if a person is old enough to join the military they are old enough to legally buy a gun. CPAC supported this bill. The bill passed the House on March 26, 2025 by a vote of 78 to 34 but the bill did not come up in the Senate.
